Today, I had the opportunity to present on Rand Water's digital transformation journey at the Singapore International Water Week 2026 (#SIWW2026). I shared a practical utility perspective on our use of AI — particularly Agentic AI — and how we're leveraging a Knowledge Twin to enhance operations, maintenance, and management at Rand Water's Swartkoppies Pumping Station. While traditional maintenance platforms simply manage tasks, our Knowledge Twin developed (#TeamSolve), with local partner Empire Partner Foundation (#EPF), creates a continuously evolving, intelligent picture of our operations — transforming everyday field work into actionable insight and intelligence. Data and knowledge at your fingertips. The Knowledge Twin is an agentic generative AI-powered digital assistant that integrates LLMs and machine learning. It encodes both textual and graph-based knowledge while capturing tacit expertise from field specialists. This is a deliberate design choice: the agent works as directed, augmenting human intelligence rather than replacing it.

Continuing the great momentum at the Singapore International Water Week (SIWW) on Day 3. We would like to thank Rand Water for highlighting our collaboration, and Christine E. Boyle for the insightful joint presentation. We also want to thank everyone who stopped by our booth. It was especially wonderful reconnecting with former colleagues from our days at Visenti and Xylem—it was great to see you all again. We truly appreciate the conversations, partnerships, and opportunities to exchange ideas with utility leaders and water professionals from around the world. Events like SIWW are a great reminder of the value of collaboration in advancing the future of the water sector.

Another busy day at Singapore International Water Week (SIWW). Robin Wong presented to utility leaders from around the world, including Singapore's Deputy PM and PUB's CE. It was also great catching up with partners and collaborators from the USA, the Philippines, Fiji, South Africa, Malaysia, and Singapore. We are grateful for the opportunity to work together and for the strong spirit of collaboration across the global water community.

Singapore International Water Week (SIWW) is always dynamic and busy. Yesterday, Robin Wong presented at the Water Leaders Summit to a room full of utility leaders from around the world. It was also great to reconnect with Criselle Alejandro, President and CEO of Balibago Waterworks, and Jay Bernas, P.E., CEO of HRSD. We appreciate the opportunity to work with your teams and always value the chance to exchange ideas and experiences in person.
